Senators seek to nullify expanded EPA water rule definition
U.S. Senators Mike Enzi and John Barrasso, both R-Wyo., joined Joni Ernst R-Iowa, along with 44 Senate co-sponsors, in introducing a joint resolution that would disapprove of a rule that the senators say is an EPA power grab through control of the country’s waterways.
Barrasso Questions EPA Administrator on Gold King Mine Disaster, WOTUS and Clean Power Plan
U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) questioned Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) administrator Gina McCarthy about the Gold King mine disaster, the EPA’s waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule, and the Obama administration’s final clean power plan. Administrator McCarthy was testifying before today’s Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee oversight hearing.
