Judy Lane Receives Mike Brown Service Award

The Wyoming Community Development Authority (WCDA) is pleased to announce long-time mortgage professional and WCDA Board Member Judy Lane has been presented the Michael (Mike) Brown Service Award by the Wyoming Mortgage Lender Association. This prestigious award was presented during the 2013 Wyoming Mortgage Lenders Association annual conference in Casper Wyoming.

WCDA Awards $5.1 Million for Affordable Housing Statewide

On Wednesday, April 24, 2013, the Wyoming Community Development Authority (WCDA) Board of Directors approved the allocation of approximately $2.2 million in Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and $2.8 million in HOME Investment Partnership Program funds to affordable housing developments across Wyoming. The tax credits and HOME funds, which are allocated by the WCDA through a competitive application process, will finance the development of a total of 131 rental units in six new multifamily projects.

Historic Ranch A Granted More Flexibility through Lummis Bill

On Tuesday U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis introduced the Ranch A Consolidation and Management Improvement Act to consolidate the state-owned ranch and provide flexibility to the Ranch A Restoration Foundation that manages the property for the State of Wyoming. The legislation would consolidate Ranch A by conveying to the State of Wyoming an additional ten acres of Forest Service land that contain the Babcock House, which is already managed and maintained by the Foundation as part of Ranch A.

The Wyoming Profile of Demographics, Economics and Housing semiannual report dated February 28, 2013 with information through December 31, 2012 is now available to the general public. The publication is sponsored and distributed by the Wyoming Community Development Authority (WCDA), Wyoming's housing finance agency.
