Rebuilding Advice Can Reduce Damage From Future Storms

BEAVER, W. Va.- July 14, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Rebuilding specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are offering safe cleanup and rebuilding advice in Wyoming, McDowell and Logan counties this week.

The specialists provide advice and printed information to residents affected by the June flooding and to anyone who wants to strengthen their property against future storm damage. Information tables and advisors will be at the following locations until further notice:

8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday – Saturday

Logan in Logan County
8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday – Saturday
Mary Hale Center
Davy in McDowell County
Opening Monday July 19th
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday – Friday

Residents of Lewis, Logan, McDowell, Mingo and Wyoming counties who had losses from the June 12 – 29 storms can register for disaster assistance at www.disasterassistance.gov or (800) 621-3362.  Those with speech or hearing impairment may call TTY 800-462-7585.
